A peer-led movement using Buddhist practices and principles to overcome addiction through meditation, personal inquiry, and community. Support is provided to local, autonomous meetings through shared literature, online resources, and connection to an international network of participants.

SMART RECOVERY

Self-Management And Recovery Training (SMART) is a global community of free mutual-support groups open to anyone seeking science-based, self-empowered addiction recovery. At meetings, participants help one another resolve problems with any addiction (to drugs or alcohol or to activities such as gambling or over-eating).
